Care & repair.

We work continuously to reduce the environmental impact of what we produce. At the same time, you as a consumer can contribute by taking care of your clothes in the right way. Clothes have an impact on the environment throughout their life cycle, and the longer they are used, the lower the climate impact.

Here are some sustainable care tips.

Only launder when necessary.

Only wash your clothes when necessary. In many cases, it’s sufficient to air them, brush them down or remove stains with a damp cloth.

Fill the machine correctly.

Always wash with a full machine. A well-filled machine also reduces emissions of fibres and microplastics from the garment.

Use a laundry bag.

A laundry bag protects the garments’ lifespan and reduces the spread of microfibres during washing.

Wash at a colder temperature.

Always follow the garment’s washing instructions, but in many cases 30–40°C will be enough to get the clothes clean.

Choose only ecolabelled detergents.

Use detergents that are free of phosphates and optical brighteners. Follow the dosage instructions and avoid fabric softener as far as possible.

Air-dry your laundry.

Air drying is better than tumble drying for both the environment and your garments.

Dry clean sparingly.

At Stadium, we only sell products that can be laundered in a regular washing machine. But if dry cleaning is required, choose environmentally friendly alternatives as far as possible.
